Wellington Catholic selects chair and vice chair for coming year

WELLINGTON CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

Trustees with the Wellington Catholic District School Board selected their chair and vice chair for the coming year at the board's inaugural meeting on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017.

Returning as chair is Marino Gazzola for his 15th year as the senior elected official for the Catholic School Board. Marino has served as a trustee since 1990.

“Our Catholic schools have provided an enduring example of academic excellence and service to others. I am grateful for the confidence and support of my fellow trustees and honoured to be able to continue to serve as chair in support of Catholic education in Guelph and Wellington County,” commented Gazzola after the election.

Selected as vice-chair is Vikki Dupuis. "Learning, well-being and innovative programming in an inclusive environment are priorities for our system. It is a privilege to serve in this way and I am committed to working together with the board of trustees and senior administration to ensure success for every student," commented Ms. Dupuis following the meeting.
