Woman charged after collision

On August 1, 2016 at approximately 2 p.m., Guelph police were sent to a collision at the intersection of Scottsdale Drive and Kortright Road.

Investigation revealed that two vehicles, driven by a 20-year-old Guelph female and a 70-year-old Puslinch male, collided in the intersection.

The 70-year-old male was transported to the Guelph General hospital and subsequently released with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, the Guelph woman was charged with Turn not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act, which carries a $110 fine.  

Intersection collisions involving turns are common.

The Guelph Police Service Traffic Division want to remind you, when making a turning movement, it is your responsibility to ensure you can make the turn safely.
