GUELPH-ERMAOSA TOWNSHIP – On Jan. 22, 2017 at approximately 10:18 a.m., members of the Wellington County O.P.P. investigated the female driver of a 2008 Nissan that was travelling northbound on Highway 6 near Marden Road in Guelph-Eramosa Township for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

Investigation revealed that the driver was bound by a recognizance with conditions not to be in Wellington County and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She was arrested and searched and found to be in possession of marijuana.

30-year-old Brooke Lee Beacock of Grey Highlands has been charged with:

  • Possession of marijuana under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Fail to comply with recognizance and breach of recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

She is scheduled to appear in bail court to answer to the charges.
