DaSilva outstanding as Hurricanes battle Stratford to a tie

Jr. B club set to close out the regular season Saturday night at home against Kitchener

Jason DaSilva made 38 saves for the Guelph Hurricanes Friday night as they battled t a 2-2 road draw against the Stratford Hurricanes.

Corson Searles put Guelph up 1-0 in the first period but Maverick Petrie tied it for Stratford three minutes later.

Midway through the second period Cameron Stokes had Guelph up 2-1, but late in the period Petrie again tied it for the hosts.

The third period and overtime went scoreless.

Guelph wraps up the regular season with a game at the Sleeman Centre Saturday night against the Kitchener Dutchmen.

The Canes are set to meet the Elmira Sugar Kings in the playoffs beginning next week.
