Gryph women improve to 9-7 with win over U of T

Gryphons wrap up regular season next weekend against McMaster and Brock

Kate MacTavish had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead a balanced Guelph Gryphons attack as they beat the University of Toronto Blues 73-56 at the Mitchell Athletics Centre Friday night.

The Gryphs, in the hunt for home court for the first round of the playoffs, sit in second place in the West Division with two regular season games remaining.

Bridget Atkinson scored 12 points, Ashley Wheeler had seven and Dana Van Balkom, Haley Belyk and Megan Brenkel each had six for Guelph.

Guelph hosts McMaster on Friday and Brock on Saturday.
