Gryphon men wrap up regular season with 6-1 win

Will host home playoff game next week

The University of Guelph Gryphons men's hockey team wrapped up the regular season portion of the schedule with a 6-1 win over the University of Toronto Blues Thursday night at the Gryphon Centre.

Guelph now needs to wait to see who their first round opponent in the playoffs will be, but they are guaranteed home ice for the first round.

The Gryphs fell behind 1-0 early in Thursday's game, but it was all Guelph after that. Stephen Hiff, Len Fabbri, Rob DeFulvis, Tryg Strand, Mac Nichol and Rob Lepine scored the goals.

Nichol, Carlos Amestoy, Kyle Neuber and Nic Trecapelli all had two assists.
