Gryphon women to play for home-court advantage

U of G squad makes playoffs for first time in three years, but needs to beat Brock Saturday to get home court

Home court advantage will be on line Saturday night when the University of Guelph women’s basketball team host the Brock Badgers in the final game of the regular season.

Winner gets to play a home game in the playoffs.

Friday night the Gryphs lost 71-69 to the McMaster Marauders, blowing a nine point lead with under seven minutes to go.

Bridget Atkinson led the Gryphons with 18 points and six assists. Kate MacTavish had 12 points and 12 rebounds, Dana Balkom had 12 points and Vanessa Rampado 10.

Saturday’s game against Brock goes at 6 p.m.
