OTTAWA - The Guelph Gryphons rallied from an 18-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Ottawa Gee Gees 27-22 Saturday.

They will now meet the Western Mustangs in the Yates Cup final Saturday in London.

Thomas Bresciani scored the winning touchdown, hooking up with quarterback Theo Landers on a 59-yard reception for a touchdown with just 1:07 remaining in the final quarter.

Guelph outscored Ottawa 10-1 in that fourth quarter.

Landers actually rushed for more yards (134) than he threw for (128) on Saturday. J.P. Ciminkanda also passed the century mark on the ground, rushing for 119 yards. Both Landers and Ciminkanda ran for touchdowns.

Western defeated Carleton 39-13 in Saturday's other semifinal.

The Gryphons and Mustangs did not play each other in the regular season.

Guelph started the season with a 2-3 record, but since then have won five straight games.
