Guelph Gryphons are off to the OUA semifinals

OTTAWA – The Guelph Gryphons are off to the OUA semifinals.

The Gryphons downed the Ottawa Gee-Gees 30-8 Saturday afternoon in quarter-final action. They will now meet the Western Mustangs this coming Saturday in London.

Guelph jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

James Roberts returned to action after missing the past three games with injury and threw a pair of touchdowns, one to Jacob Scarfone and the other to Jordan Terrio.

Roberts completed 10 of 19 passes for 147 yards. He was intercepted once.

Johnny Augustine rushed for 151 yards on 21 carries and Gabe Ferraro connected on five field goals.

Job Reinhart led the defence with eight solo tackles and Luke Korol had two sacks.
