Guelph Gryphons can still make the football playoffs

But they're going to need a little help on Saturday to do it

There will be plenty of scoreboard watching going on at Alumni Stadium Saturday.

There is only one scenario that puts the Guelph Gryphons in the OUA playoffs as they face the York Lions.

Guelph (2-5) has to beat York (2-5) and Windsor (2-5) and Queen's (3-5) both have to lose their games.

Queen's is in the driver's seat for the sixth and last playoff spot. They beat Ottawa (5-2) in Kingston Saturday and they are in.

Windsor hosts Wilfrid Laurier (6-1) in Windsor Saturday.

If two teams are tied for the final playoff spot, the decision comes down to who won when the two teams met earlier this year. Guelph beat Queen's but lost to Windsor.

If Guelph, Queen's and Windsor all end up at 3-5, Queen's gets the playoff spot based on the fact they all three teams were 1-1 in their head-to-head competition but Queen's has the better point differential in that head-to-head triangle.

All games Saturday start at 1 p.m.
