Guelph native Dani Sinclair is the new head coach of the Carleton Ravens women’s basketball team.

Sinclair (nee: Everitt), is a St. James Catholic High School grad. She recently stepped down as head coach of the University of Victoria women’s team where she had coached the past eight years.

Sinclair played CIS basketball at McMaster University and the University of Victoria, where she won a national championship in 2003.

“I am very honoured and humbled to have the opportunity to lead the Carleton Women’s Basketball Program,” Sinclair said in a news release.

“There is such a rich history in both the women’s and men’s programs, and I look forward to learning from Dave Smart and other members of the team. We have a great group of athletes that I am keen to get to know and work with. There is strong leadership from the veteran group and a tremendous young core that will lead the way into the future. I am extremely grateful to Jennifer and Dave for their support during this process and ready to get to started.”
