The Guelph Royals split their two weekend contests, beating the Hamilton Cardinals 7-6 Saturday night at Hastings Stadium and falling 4-0 to the Kitchener Panthers Sunday in Kitchener.

Two of the Guelph hits were doubles, by Aaron Loder and Matt Schmidt.

Guelph starter Adrian Yuen went seven innings, allowing the four runs on nine hits.

Saturday night saw Guelph score seven runs in the fourth inning then hold off Hamilton for the win.

Alberto Rodriquez started and picked up the victory, allowing five runs on four hits in six and a third innings of work. He struck out 11 and walked five.
