The Guelph Royals will kick off the home portion of their Intercounty Baseball League schedule Saturday, May 26, at 1 p.m. when the London Majors visit Hastings Stadium.

Guelph has only played one game thus far, a 14-3 road loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on May 13. Their other scheduled game was rained out.

The revamped Royals return to the IBL after folding early last season.

They have brought in several former all-stars to bolster the lineup and have added five import players from the Dominican Republic who are expected to be in the lineup on Saturday.

Mayor Cam Guthrie will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and his wife Rachel will sing the national anthem.

The Buffalo Wild Wings street team will be there, Shoeless Joe's will again be running the concessions and there will be prizes from Sleeman Brewery. Paw Patrol mascot will also be in attendance and there will be a kids zone.

Regular ticket price are $8 and kids under 12 are free.

The IBL is celebrating its 100th season this year.
