The Guelph Royals snapped a 10-game losing skid Sunday night with a big 7-3 victory over the Kitchener Panthers in Kitchener.

Aaron Loder and Adam Rossit hit home runs and newcomer Marc-Andre Major threw four innings of one-hit ball to lead the Royals.

Guelph is now 5-17 on the season. Kitchener is 17-6.

Major, an IBL veteran recently released by the Brantford Red Sox, started and went four innings before giving way to Alberto Rodriguez, who pitched five innings to earn the win, striking out six and walking four while surrendering two hits.

Kitchener's Sean Reilly homered for the Panthers, making him the Intercounty Baseball League's all-time home run leader.

Guelph's next game is Tuesday at Hastings Stadium when Brantford visits for a 7:30 p.m. start.
