WINDSOR - The Windsor Spitfires handed the Guelph Storm its second straight loss to open the season Sunday afternoon, handing the locals a 4-0 loss at the WFCU Centre.

Mathew MacDougall's goal at 16:56 of the first period was all the home side would need.

Aaron Luchuk made it 2-0 on the power play in the second period, then Luke Kutkevicius and Igor Larianov added insurance markers in the third period.

Guelph's Anthony Popovich allowed four goals on 28 shots. Michael DiPietro stopped all 30 Storm shots he faced in the Windsor net.

Guelph's power play went 0-for-5 in the game and is now 1-for-14 to start the season.

The Storm will host the Oshawa Generals on Friday, then play in Saginaw on Sunday.
