The Guelph Storm made their second big deal in four days Monday, sending second-year forward Tag Bertuzzi to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

In return the Storm receives three draft picks: a second rounder in 2020 (originally Mississauga's), a third rounder in 2021 (originally Guelph's) and a third rounder in 2022 (orginally Sudbury's).

"This was a mutual understanding of all parties involved to consider a fresh start for Tag," Storm general manager George Burnett said in a news release. “We wish Tag success moving forward with his new opportunity."

Bertuzzi was the second overall pick in the OHL Priority Selection in 2017. Both his dad Todd and his cousin Tyler previously played for the Storm.

On Friday Bertuzzi reportedly left the team for undisclosed reasons.

He had four goals and nine points in 29 games this season. Last year as a rookie he had three goals and 11 points in 41 games.

The Storm doesn't play again until Dec. 28 against Hamilton.
