LONDON – Danny Zhilkin capitalized on a turnover nine seconds into overtime to give the Guelph Storm a 4-3 win over the London Knights at Budweiser Gardens on Tuesday.

London won the faceoff to start overtime but as they regrouped in their own end defenceman Isaiah George fell down while backpedaling with the puck. Zhilkin pounced on it and made a nice move in tight on Knights goaltender Brett Brochu before backhanding it into the net for the win.

London's Antonio Stranges forced overtime with a power play goal with 4:07 left in regulation.

The Storm trailed 1-0 after the first period, where they were outshot 18-4, but responded with three goals in the second period, as Marko Sikic, Daniil Chayka and Sasha Pastujov all scored, giving Guelph a 3-2 lead heading into the third.

Owen Bennett earned the win in Guelph net, making 27 saves. He was brilliant in the first period and made a couple of huge saves in the third.

It was just the second loss of the season for the Knights (9-1-1-0).

Guelph (8-5-1-0) will host the Erie Otters on Friday night then play in Owen Sound on Saturday.
