PETERBOROUGH - Peterborough Petes goaltender Dylan Wells made 44 saves to backstop his team to a 4-2 victory over the Guelph Storm Thursday night in Peterborough.

Guelph's Cedric Ralph opened the scoring midway through the first period, but goals by the Petes' Pavel Gogolev and Nikita Korostelev, the latter on the power play, had the home side up 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Cam Hillis tied things up late in the second period, but Bobby Dow's power play goal with 1:51 remaining in the second period proved to be the eventual game-winner.

The lone goal of the third period was an empty-netter by Korostelev.

Anthony Popovich made 25 saves for Guelph.

The Storm plays in Kingston Friday.
