WINDSOR – The Windsor Spitfires scored a pair of goals in the second period to take control then cruised to a 4=1 win over the Guelph Storm Wednesday night in Windsor.

WIndsor led 1-0 after the first period then got a power play goal by Alex Christopoulos and a penalty shot goal from Aidan Castle to take command of the game.

A Cooper Walker goal – his 20th of the season – made things interesting with 8:31 left in the third period, but Guelph wouldn't get any closer.

Brayden Gillespie made 32 saves in the Storm net. Guelph had 28 shots on Windsor's Joey Costanzo.

Guelph has two games remaining in the regular season: Friday at home to the Erie Otters then Saturday night in Saginaw.

They currently sit in seventh place in the Western Conference, where four points separate eighth place from fifth place.
