Guelph Storm stung in Sarnia

SARNIA - The Sarnia Sting scored three goals in the first period and three more in the second to down the Guelph Storm 6-2 in Sarnia on Wednesday.

Givani Smith, with his 21st of the season, and Dmitri Samorukov, with his fourth, had the Storm goals.

Adam Ruzicka scored twice to lead Sarnia.

Anthony Popovich started in net for Guelph and allowed three goals on 15 shots in the first period. He was replaced by Liam Herbst to start the second period. Herbst allowed three goals on 33 shots.

Justin Fazio stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Sarnia net.

Guelph will host the Barrie Colts on Friday at the Sleeman Centre.
