SAGINAW – The Guelph Storm will meet the Sarnia Sting in the opening round of the OHL playoffs.

Guelph finished up its regular season with a 7-3 road win in Saginaw Saturday night and finish in sixth place in the standings.

The best-of-seven series starts Friday in Sarnia. Game 2 is Sunday afternoon in Sarnia.

Game 3 and Game 4 go Tuesday and Thursday in Guelph. Game time is 7 p.m. for both games.

Guelph was 2-2 in head-to-head competition with Sarnia this season, with three games going to a shootout.

After falling behind 2-0 in the first period, the Storm took over the game.

Max Namestnikov lead the way with a hat trick, giving him a team-high 39 goals on the season. Braeden Bowman scored twice and Valentin Zhugin, Charlie Paquette had the other goals.

Matt Poitras had two assists, giving him 79 on the season, two shy of Jeff O'Neill's club record 81.
