Wallace's 27 points lead the way as Guelph scores huge upset

The University of Guelph Gryphons men shocked the nation's number one team Wednesday night at the Mitchell Athletics Centre, downing the Ryerson Rams 96-92.

Jonathan Wallace had a monster game to lead Guelph, scoring 27 points on a 10-for-14 performance from the field. Ahmed Haroon had 20 points and 12 rebounds for Guelph and Daniel Dooley chipped in with 19.

Guelph is now 8-8 on the season. Ryerson falls to 14-2.

Ryerson's Adika Peter-McNeilly led all scorers with 34.

Guelph led 51-36 at halftime and 62-58 after three quarters.
