Three west region synchronized swimming clubs are bringing a new meaning to the phrase ‘no swimmer left behind’.

Brant Synchro Club, Guelph Synchronized Swimming Club and KW Synchronized Swimming Club are pleased to announce the creation of the Grand River Aquaflies, three newly combined competitive teams which are represented by provincial athletes from each of the three clubs.

The name Grand River Aquaflies, the spiritual meaning of a dragonfly, was chosen because it reminds us that everything is possible, that we can achieve our dreams and our goals, and we can learn to self believe.

Formed in the fall, this unique partnership ensures that swimmers in each region are able to continue doing what they love. The new teams, which include one for 11-12, 13-15 and 16-20, are a true representation of partnership in sport. The Aquaflies will also be represented in the 11-12 duet event.

As we move closer to the start of the competitive season, all three clubs are excited to see the Aquaflies in action.
