McLaren leads Guelph Royals over Burlington

Gill throws gem as Guelph improves to 3-6

Chandler McLaren went three-for-four with a homer and four RBIs Thursday night as the Guelph Royals downed the Burlington Bandits 12-1.

The win improves Guelph’s record to 3-6 on the season.

Tino Silvestri and Keegan Marsden also went deep for the Royals.

Richard Gill supplied the quality start on the mound, giving up just four hits in seven innings of work, striking out seven and walking just one Bandits batter.

The Royals host the Kitchener Panthers on Saturday at 1 p.m. Sunday they play in London.

The Panthers lost for the first time this season Thursday night, falling 11-10 to London in Kitchener.
