Jonathan Wallace scored a career-high 24 points as the University of Guelph men's basketball team downed the York Lions 102-98 in Toronto on Saturday.
The win leaves Guelph three points back of Lakehead for the third and final playoff spot in the OUA Central Division with six games left in the regular season.
WIth just under five minutes left in the game the Gryphons led by 15 points but York got the gap down to two points with under a minute to go.
Wallace also had six rebounds and three assists. Five Gryphons scored in double figures including Taylor Boers who had 18 points off the bench.
