The University of Guelph Gryphons had a pair of players selected in Sunday's Canadian Football League draft.

Receiver Jacob Scarfone was taken in the sixth round, 47th overall by the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Scarfone missed all last season recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in training last summer.

In 2015 Scarfone, a six-foot-one, 188-pound London native, caught 77 passes and had 10 touchdowns. He set a school single-season record with 940 receiving yards.

Defensive lineman Ian Marouf was chosen in the sixth round, 50th overall, by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Marouf hasn't played for the Gryphons since 2013, when he was named the team's rookie of the year after recording 6.5 sacks and 31 tackles.
