Petes score five unanswered goals to sink Guelph Storm

PETERBOROUGH – The Guelph Storm scored the first two goals of the game Saturday night in Peterborough, but after that it was all Petes.

The home side scored five unanswered goals to hand the Storm a 5-2 loss.

Isaac Ratcliffe and James McEwan, the latter shorthanded, had Guelph up 2-0 by 11:28 of the first.

The Petes tied it with second period goals by Zach Gallant and Jonathan Ang, then got three in the third, two of them 14 seconds apart, to seal the win.

Liam Herbst made 35 saves in the Storm net, Dylan Wells had 36 for Peterborough.

Guelph’s next game is Wednesday in Sarnia.
