Red hot Toropchenko leads Storm to win

Now has eight points in four games

SAGINAW, MI. – Alexy Toropchenko had a goal and two assists to lead the Guelph Storm to a 6-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit Saturday night.

It was the second consecutive three-point night for Toropchenko, who now has eight points in four games to start the season.

Six different players scored for the Storm, with four of the goals coming on the power play. Barret Kirwin, Cedric Ralph, Isaac Ratcliffe, Zach Poirier and Garret McFadden also tallied.

Matt Hotchkiss, Dmitri Samorukov and RyanMerkley all had two assists.

Anthony Popovich started his fourth game, making 33 saves.
