Rough night on the road for Guelph Storm

Will host Niagara on Friday night

FLINT, MI. – The Guelph Storm fell to .500 on the season with a 7-1 to the Flint Firebirds on Wednesday night.

Flint led 1-0 after one period then scored twice in the first half of the second period to chase starting netminder Anthony Popovich from the Storm net. Cole Ceci  replaced Popovich and allowed four goals on 19 shots in his first action as a member of the Storm.

Matt Hotchkiss had Guelph’s lone goal in the third period, assisted by Barret Kirwin and Cedric Ralph.

The Storm hosts the Niagara Ice Dogs Friday night at the Sleeman Centre.
