The Guelph Royals will begin the IBL playoffs Wednesday when it faces the Toronto Maple Leafs at Christie Pits in Toronto.
The best of five series will include at least one game at Guelph's Hastings Stadium for Saturday's Game 2, with a possible return to Guelph on Tuesday, if necessary.
Guelph finished the season in fifth place, with a 16-20 record. A late season 7-game winning streak helped the Royals make up some ground prior to the playoffs.
On Saturday, the Royals lost their final game of the season to first-place Barrie with a score of 20-1.
Toronto clinched fourth place with a win against Brantford on Sunday afternoon.
