Royals face do-or-die Game 4 at home Sunday

The Hamilton Cardinals will attempt the series sweep Sunday

HAMILTON – Ben Braun went eight shutout innings as the Hamilton Cardinals blanked the Guelph Royals 10-0 Saturday afternoon at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium. 
Hamilton leads the best-of-seven quarter-final 3-0. 

Justin Interisano had two of Guelph's six hits. Brett Lawson (0-1) took the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) on 10 hits over 2.2 innings. He struck out two. 

Braun (1-0) scattered five hits while walking two and striking out three. 

At the plate, Grant Arnold homered and drove in two while scoring twice, Laine Renaud singled and hit a solo home run, Connor Bowie went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run, Chris Beer singled twice and doubled and scored three times, Luke Tevlin had two hits and a run, Connor Patterson added an RBI, and Jon Dziomba drove in two and scored twice. 

Game 4 will be played in Guelph at the David E. Hastings Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 1 p.m.
