Royals hold on to big lead to beat Kitchener

The Royals jumped out to a 10-1 fourth inning lead en route to an 18-10 win [against Kitchener]. Guelph (16-18) is now in sixth place.

Sean Reilly belted his 200th career home run in the fourth inning, one of nine in the game for Guelph. Reilly went 3-for-5 while Josh Garton went 4-for-6 with two home runs and five RBI’s and Angel Villalona was 4-for-5 including two homers and five RBI’s. Ethan Mohan added a three-run homer while Matt Schmidt and

Brendan Keys each had two run home runs. Kyle Rush had a solo home run and three hits.

Edwin Javier (5-0) was the winning pitcher, going seven innings and allowing 11 hits, eight runs and five walks with nine strikeouts. Geoff Moroz (1-1) went three innings to take the loss, allowing nine hits, eight runs including three home runs with three strikeouts.
