The Guelph Storm's president of hockey operations has a new job.

Scott Walker was named as an assistant to new head coach Bruce Boudreau on Sunday in a shakeup that saw head coach Travis Green, assistant coach Nolan Baumgartner, general manager Jim Benning and assistant general manager John Weisbrod all fired.

Stan Smyl is the new interim general manager and Ryan Johnson the interim assistant general manager.

Walker was originally drafted by the Canucks in the fifth round in 1993 and played parts of four seasons there.

He served as head coach of the Storm for five seasons, winning an OHL title in 2014.

There was no immediate word whether the Storm would be filling the president of hockey operations position, which didn't exist before Walker was named to the role shortly after the new ownership took over.
