Tidy road win for Guelph Storm

HAMILTON – Newcomer Patrick Leaver made 21 saves and four different players scored as the Guelph Storm downed the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-1 Wednesday night.

Leaver, acquired two days earlier from the Oshawa Generals, was only beaten by a tipped shot in the second period with the Storm already up 3-0.

Braeden Bowman, with his fourth goal in his past three games, Jake Karabela, Cooper Walker and Hunter McKenzie scored for Guelph.

Defenceman Chandler Romeo also made his Storm debut.

Guelph plays in London on Friday. Next home game isn't until Jan. 20 when Peterborough visits.
