If there is one thing we know as journalists, it’s that there are as many ways to gather news as there are stories.

Many of our stories come about because we actively seek out information on issues we believe are important to you as citizens of this community.

Reporters go to council meetings, school board meetings and sit in courtrooms to be your eyes and ears when decisions are made by public institutions and officials. We ask questions we think need answers to help you make informed decisions in your lives.

Mostly we know what’s going on simply because we’re like you — we live here and we talk to people and we share many of the same experiences.

If you’re reading this, you’re a GuelphToday+ member, so chances are you’re well aware of how we operate, and you understand the value of local independent journalists who seek out the truth and chronicle the events and milestones of a community.

That’s great, because we’re always striving to get better at that and we hope you’ll share some of your thoughts with us.

Above and right here are links to a very short survey where we hope you’ll let us know what you think about what we do and what matters most to you.

Of course, if you’re more comfortable communicating one-on-one, or you have feedback that doesn’t fit the survey format, feel free to reach out with your thoughts by e-mail to [email protected]
