OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Jack Rodewald to a two-year entry-level contract.

The contract carries a value of US$650,000 in the National Hockey League and $70,000 in the American Hockey League each season.

The 23-year-old has appeared in five games for the American Hockey League's Belleville Senators this season and is tied for the team lead with three goals.

Undrafted, the six-foot-two, 188-pound, Winnipeg native attended the Senators' 2016 rookie tournament and main training camp before starting the season with Wichita of the ECHL.

He joined the organization by signing a professional tryout in November of 2016, before signing a two-year AHL contract last December. He went on to play 66 AHL games in Binghamton last season, scoring 18 goals and adding nine assists and 34 penalty minutes.
