Toronto Wolfpack drawn to face Barrow Raiders in Ladbrokes Challenge Cup

TORONTO — The Toronto Wolfpack will face Barrow Raiders in the fifth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup.

The rugby league match is scheduled for the weekend of April 21-22 at Craven Park in Barrow-in-Furness, England. While Toronto was drawn as the home side, the tie will played at Barrow's home ground due to renovations at Lamport Stadium in Toronto.

The Wolfpack, rugby's first transatlantic team, may not play at home until June due to the replacement of Lamport's artificial turf.

Toronto (4-1-1) and Barrow (1-3-1) played to a 8-8 tie when they met earlier this season in the second-tier Betfred Championship.

The fifth-round draw saw Warrington Wolves, Hull Kingston Rovers, Widnes Vikings and Catalans Dragons of the elite Super League enter the competition alongside the 12 winning sides from the fourth round.

The Wolfpack defeated Kells ARLFC, an amateur side, 56-6 in the fourth round.

In other fifth-round matches, it's Warrington Wolves versus Hunslet RLFC or Bradford Bulls, Widnes Vikings versus Coventry Bears or Pilkington Recs, Leigh Centurions versus London Broncos, Whitehaven RLFC versus Rochdale Hornets, Halifax RLFC or Oldham RLFC versus Hull Kingston Rovers, Doncaster RLFC versus North Wales Crusaders or Featherstone Rovers and York City Knights versus Catalans Dragons.

Toronto exited in the fifth round of the competition in 2017, its inaugural season, when it was beaten 29-22 by the Super League's Salford Red Devils.
