Passed away peacefully at The Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on February 20th 2018 at the age of 86 years. Shirley will be deeply missed by her children Donna(John), Bob(Gay), Farrell and Jason(Tara). Cherished Nana of 18 grandchildren (Patrice, David, Mark, Melissa, Christine, Nicole, Emily, Megan, Bethany, Amy, Isaac, Johnny, Anne, Doug, Alex, Roberta, Koen and Grace) and 25 Great grandchildren as well as her 3 “adopted” daughters Myrna, Barb and Michelle. Also survived by brother Aubrey(Tiny) sister-in-law Jean. Predeceased by her husband’s Donald McCaskill(1962) and Roy Ashdown(1980) and by her parents Howard ”Steve” and Zipporah “Zip” Rudd and brother Bob. Close family and friends are invited to attend the service being held at 12:00pm on Sunday February 25th. at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home 280 St. David Street South, Fergus. Followed by a “Memorial Celebration of Life - visitation and open house” from 1:00 - 4:00pm following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed towards the Canadian Cancer Society or The Red Cross.
