Peacefully and in the care of the Riverside Glen Retirement Home in Guelph, Janet passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2016, with her 6 dear children at her bedside and surrounded by the love of her children, grandchildren and Great-grandchildren in her 88th year.
Her loving kindness and constant support is sadly missed by all who knew her. Beloved mother of Gerald Henry Bakker (Monika), Margaret Henrietta Morphy (John), Gregory William Bakker (Debbie), Henry Jefry Bakker (Luke); Dorothy Jane Bakker (Danny) and Patricia Ruth Cortis-Bakker. Janet was the proud and loving Oma to David Bakker (Meghan), Danny Bakker (Shalia), and Laura Rhode (Jeff); Sarah Keshane (Stuart), Doreen Morphy, and Emily Pilon; Ryan Bakker, Deanna Bakker, and Talia Bakker; Stephen Emslie and Greg Emslie; Lucien Cortis and Ruth Cortis. Family continues to be blessed and grow with great grandchildren Liam Bakker, Nathan Bakker, Finley Bakker, Gordon Morphy, Grady Keshane, Brinson Keshane, Margo Keshane and Cora Pilon. Friends and family are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Dublin United Church, 68 Suffolk St W, Guelph on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, 762 Woolwich St. Guelph and a reception back at the Dublin United Church.
