July 30th 1949 – July 11th 2016
We are devastated to announce Michael’s sudden passing while at a trade show in Singapore. Michael is pre-deceased by his beloved wife Jacqueline Birks (Nov. 27th 1949 - July 14th 2014). Loving father to Claire Andrews (Richard) and Michael Birks (Stacey). Devoted grandad to Sophie Andrews; Caleb, Griffin, and Liam Birks. Michael is also survived by his sister Margaret Blake and her son Adrian Blake of England. Michael was the owner of the Birks Company along with Claire. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends in the waterworks and backflow industries, the gang at the Ivy, and his ever faithful dog Mungo.
Services will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home - Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon Street, Guelph). We are hoping to have visitation for friends and family Monday July 25th.
