BLOM Harmen Wouter Gerrit

Of Guelph, passed away at Guelph General Hospital surrounded by his family, and the music he loved, on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018, in his 79th year.

Much beloved husband of Anstice (nee Ledingham). Adored father of Mary An Blom and Dianne (Gary) Schmidt. Dear brother of Ida (Ted) Postma, Albert (Donna) Blom, and Gerry (Kathy) Blom. Brother-in-law of Eunice Blom and Ted Ledingham (Maurice Leblanc). Predeceased by parents Herman and Grada (nee Koldenhof) Blom, as well as siblings Grace Koenderink, Walter Blom, and brother-in-law Cees Koenderink.
Co-founder, long-time partner and friend with Paul Kidnie and family, in establishing and operating Royalthane Inc. of Fergus, Ontario. Harmen was also a dedicated member of Dublin Street United Church, sharing his love of music in the choir and his skills in maintaining the heritage building. He will be greatly missed by many friends, colleagues, and family.

Memorial service will be held at Dublin Street United Church on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at 3 pm. Reception to follow in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund or Dublin Street United Church would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Harmen W.G. Blom in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
