Garrett Lawrence Bohn of Fergus, Ontario passed away suddenly in his home Thursday May 16th, 2019 in his 36th year. Garrett was born in Guelph, Ontario to Larry & Michelle Bohn on Sept 23rd, 1983. He attended College Heights Secondary School in Guelph. Garrett was industrious with a diverse career having worked at different occupations: Camtac Mfg., Colonial Cookies, Guelph Auto Parts. Garrett wasn’t content working for someone, he entered into his first business venture with a moving company (G&L moving) but found his niche when he purchased Snap Fitness in Fergus. For the last 6 years he poured his heart into Snap Fitness doing whatever was needed, all the while keeping remarkably fit! Garrett was also well known for second business - android box sales and their upkeep. Garrett wasn’t without difficulties in his life, but he confronted any challenges he faced head on & wouldn’t stop until he found a solution. He grew into an affable warm young man. Garrett was committed to staying fit, having competed in strong man & body building competitions. He had many trophies & awards as evidence of his successfully active lifestyle. When he came in contact with anyone looking to better themselves, he was quick to take you under his wing with helpful advice, be your workout buddy or put you in contact with the right person. Garrett was family oriented. Having a family of his own was immensely important to him. He was overjoyed with being a father to Jayden & Bryson Hurley as well as fathering Syer & Sophina Bohn. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for his wife, children, brother, parents or grandparents. Garrett had a way with attracting people to himself, he was never without friends that loved him to the end. He will forever be in our thoughts & hearts. So many of us looked up to Garrett in many ways. His hard work, determination, intensity, dedication, strength & passion will forever be remembered by us all.
Garrett is survived by his wife Sarah Hurley, her children Jayden & Bryson Hurley, his children Syer & Sophina Bohn, his grandparents Irene Bohn & Frances LaPointe, his parents Larry & Michelle Bohn, his brother Shane & nephew Rowan Bohn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ken Bohn & John LaPointe, his aunt Leeann Shaver.
A come & go memorial service will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street S, Fergus, on Saturday, May 25th , 2019 from 1-4pm a celebration of life with sharing memories at 2:30pm.
