Passed away peacefully on Monday May 28, 2018, with family by her side, after a brief illness at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 67th year, Kathryn Marie Bolger (nee Broderick).
Beloved wife to Terry Bolger for 43 years. Loving mother of Aaron Bolger and Erica (Richard) Reid. Devoted Grandmother to Eric and Charlie Bolger and Farrah and Lochlan Reid. Dear sister to Tom (Tannis) Broderick, and loving aunt to Tara (Dwayne) Zwep, AJ (Karalee) Broderick and Ashley (Neil) Bartlett. Predeceased by her infant daughter Leeanne Robyn (1985), mother Ella Mae (2017), father Adrian (1967), father in law Walter (2009). Survived by her mother in law Ann Bolger, Patricia (Roy) Jenkins, Bruce (Shirley) Bolger, Dave (Gloria) Bolger, Tim (Connie) Bolger and remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Kathy taught elementary school for 32 years. She touched so many lives doing what she loved and made a difference in each and every child she met. Her love for teaching carried through into retirement where she always was up to giving someone a lesson, especially her children and grandchildren. During her most recent years she was a devoted Grandma to her 4 grandchildren. They were her pride and joy and she was someone we could always count on.
Kathy travelled near and far with her husband Terry including a recent trip to Florida in April with the entire family, a place we all love and memories that we’ll hold onto forever.
Kathy’s last 5 years in Niagara Falls were special to her. She gained many dear friends where she lived who all looked out for one another.
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation or Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
