BORDEN, Edith Gertrude

Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday, February 2, 2018. Edith (Lopez) Borden, age 69 years, was the loving mother of Darlene Stuckless, Diane Soikie (Basil), James Borden (Becky), Wanda Robertson (Derek), and Joe Borden (Erinne). Edith was the proud grandmother of Preston, Priscilla, Brian, Anita, Jamie, Matthew, Joshua, Stephanie, Kassy, Braden, Zack, John, Sarah, Brandi, Jessica, Samantha, Chelsea, Danielle, and Nevaeh, and great-grandmother of Mia, Emma, Bentley, Summer, A.J., Emeera, Anthony, and Raya. She was the dear sister of Violet Currie, and Peter Lopez, and predeceased by her sister, Myrtle Tremblett, her brother George Lopez, her parents Charlie and Susan Lopez, and by her loving companion Harry Kenwell. Survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Edith’s life will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sickkids Foundation, or to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
