BOVA, Giorgio (George)

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph on Monday, April 9, 2018. George Bova in his 89th year, was the beloved husband of Antonia (Galletta) Bova of Guelph. He was the loving father of Tina (Caterina), Marianne and her husband Mario Paolillo and the late Giuseppe (Joe) Bova (2015) all of Guelph. He was the dear father-in-law of Kathy Bova of Guelph. George was the proud Nonno of Christina, Rachel, and Lucas. Predeceased by his brothers Luigi, and Giovanni and survived by his sister Marianna Coppola all of Italy.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for George will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, or to the Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
