In the late evening hours of November 30, 2022, Eleazar Briceno Rosales took his final breath, surrounded by the love and support of his family, and the kind and professional staff at Wellington Hospice in Guelph, Ontario.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1943, Eleazar was a humble, charming, and righteous man who lived a plentiful life filled with all the richness of the human experience, which he kindly passed on to his children, relatives, friends, and everyone he came across throughout his lifetime and his career as a Statistician, University Professor, and IT Manager. Certainly the world is a better place because of all the lives he touched professionally and in his daily comings and goings.

Eleazar will live forever in the hearts of the beautiful family he raised with his first love Adela (+): Beatriz (Kara Graham, Charlie, and Tuki), Eleazar José (Manuel García), Alejandra (Cornel Müller, Raquel, and Julian), and Dan (Ana Yavari, and Eva). He will continue on in the loving hearts of his beloved Libertad Páez, her children (Ada, Mariela, Claudia, Lorena, José, and Ramiro), and her numerous grandchildren whom graciously called him “abuelito #2”. He will endure through the warm memories he built with his dearest siblings César Augusto and Doris, and their respective families; the ones he shared with his extended Venezuelan family: Aracelis, Luis and Carmen, Gustavo and Zulay, and Armando and Patrizia; and those he experienced with multiple friends and colleagues he made in Venezuela, Canada, and Chile. Without a doubt, a life well lived.

We love you papi!
