It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend.  Mary Lou Bridges (nee Yeo) passed away on Sunday, April 21st, 2019, with family by her side, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario.  Mary was the 12th of 15 children, born in Harvey Station, New Brunswick to Alfred and Laura Yeo.  Mary was in her 59th year.
Mary is survived by her partner, John Jack, her son Billy Bridges (Sami Jo Small) and her granddaughter Kensi.  Mary is predeceased by her beautiful daughter Michelle (1983).  We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the pride in Mary’s heart for her son Billy’s many accomplishments (gold medals and all - his #1 fan!) and of course the day she became a grandma to Kensi.
Mary will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters:  Eunice Schmalenberg (late Tony) of Guelph, Erma Oldfield (Gary) of Guelph, Lorrean Kwiatkowski (Ron) of Summerside, Judy DaMaren (Bill) of Alma, Marilyn Perry of Guelph, (Late) George Yeo (Eleanor) of Alberton, Eustace Yeo of Alberton, (Late) Earl Yeo (Maureen) of O’Leary, (Late) Gordon Yeo of Harvey Station, Ben Yeo (Norma) of Conway, (Late) David Yeo of Harvey Station, Dale Yeo (Janet) of Alberton, Clinton Yeo (Susan) of Mallorytown, and Fred Yeo (Chris) of Conway.  As well as hundreds of cousins, nieces and nephews & great nieces and great nephews and close friends.
A special thank you to Mary’s niece and god-daughter Tammy Gazzola (David) for the many nights spent by Mary’s side and for keeping the family updated on the family’s group page.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Mary Lou’s honour on Friday, May 10th, 2019, at the Col. John McCrae Legion, 57 Watson Pkwy. South, Guelph, Ontario, N1L O8H, between 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Light snacks will be provided.
A memorial service will also be held on May 20th, 2019, in Elmsdale, PEI, where Mary will be laid to rest with her daughter Michelle.  Final Details will be posted as soon as they become available.

The family of Mary Lou Bridges (Yeo) wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Cary Shafir (St. Joseph’s Healthcare), Nurses Liz and Tammy (St. Joseph’s Healthcare) and everyone who walked this journey with Mary Lou.
