Brown Peter MM

1938-2020

Peter passed away peacefully in his 83rd year on April 27 at his home in Rockwood. He had been dealing with leukemia for over a year. He is survived by his loving partner Irene, daughters Stephanie, Lisa (Ron) and Andrea (Sean), grandchildren Jacqui (Kevin), Ethan and Joey, Chad (Talia), Dilhan and Remi, great grandchildren Ty and Brylan and Madelyn and Avery. Peter will also be missed by his brother‘s family John, Elizabeth, Rob and Mike, Irene’s sisters Sophie and Liz and their families as well as many loyal friends.

Born and raised in Montreal, Peter was a much loved, admired and widely respected bond trader for over 50 years in both Montreal and Toronto. He had a sunny disposition and loved nothing more than a beer and a barbecue on the deck with family and cherished friends. A perfect day for Peter was sipping a fine scotch and listening to Frank Sinatra. He was a man of integrity and will be dearly missed. Future plans for a celebration of Peter’s life are uncertain at this time.

A tree will be planted in memory of Peter F. Brown in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
