BURNETT, Edwin Harry

Passed away, peacefully, in his 99th year, on Friday, April 15th, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Ed was predeceased by his first wife Marrion Eggert (1948), and by his second wife Violet McCart (2005), by brothers James and George Burnett and by sisters Elsie Gillispie and Doris Morris. Ed was the dear father to James and wife Annette, Elaine and husband Rod Pettigrew, Edward and wife Fern, and Leanne and husband Dave McGarr. He was Grandpa to Jamie (Rhonda) Burnett, Julie (Dave) MacLean, Scott (Jenifer) Pettigrew and he was Papa to Crystal (Greg) Heaslip, and Great-grandpa to Jessie, Jenna, Liam, Sean, Jorja-Paige and Great-papa to Cameron and Lauren. Special thanks to CCAC and Bayshore Nursing, to Dr. Chan and Dr. Dore and to the GGH 6th Floor West nurses for their caring and compassion. Thank you to EMS and Fire Department for their quick response and compassion. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 12 p.m. Interment, Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
