CALDWELL, , Forrest Harvey

Posted

Caldwell Forrest MM

After a long dance with cancer, Forrest died at his heart’s home, Pasture Prime Farm, on Saturday Jan 27/18 at the age of 62.  Surrounded by his much beloved sons, Graham and Alex, he slipped away peacefully.  Left to grieve are sons, Graham and Alex, his sister Mary-Margaret and her partner, Jon, the Strachan clan, Caldwell/Hill relatives and countless friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Harvey Caldwell.

Forrest was a man who loved life and lived it well. All who met or knew him knew of his generosity and spirit. Many will remember the gatherings at Pasture Prime, his love of skiing, music, his talent as a musician, his love of gardening and the ‘Caldwell Macs’ and most especially, all who knew Forrest know of his pride in his ‘boys.’ They are his greatest accomplishment.

It was Forrest’s wish to donate the gift of learning to students, emergency professionals and healthcare professionals studying human anatomy at the University of Guelph.

Friends are invited to gather at Wall-Custance Funeral Home, 206 Norfolk St. in Guelph, on Sunday February 4th from 1-4 pm or Monday February 5th from 2-5 pm or 7-9 pm to reminisce and share their memories of Forrest.  Celebration of life to be held at Harcourt Memorial United Church, 87 Dean Ave., Guelph on Wednesday February 7th at 11:00.

Flowers gratefully declined.  Donations in Forrest’s memory can be made to Medecins sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders, the University of Guelph Human Anatomy Program or a charity of your choice.

Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at Bayshore Home Health and the many friends and family who supported us through this process.
